Education

The Education section brings together the programmes that combine the theory of working at height with hands-on practice. The aim is that every worker exposed to a fall risk can secure themselves, and that the team around them knows how to respond when something goes wrong. The two core programmes under this heading complement each other: one is about preventing a fall, the other about bringing a suspended worker down safely after one.

What the programmes cover

Working at Height Training is built on risk assessment, the mechanics of a fall, the selection and correct use of personal protective equipment, choosing the anchor point and safe access methods. Working at Height Rescue Training adds rescue planning, roles within the team, pulley and lowering systems, moving a casualty safely and the response to suspension trauma. Practical sessions run with the equipment the worker actually uses on site: the parachute type seat belt, connectors and anchor systems within the scope of EN 795.

Who needs it

Construction, energy, maintenance, façade and roof work sit at the centre of this scope; anyone working from scaffolding, a cherry picker, a mobile platform or by rope access needs this training. Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331 and the Regulation on Occupational Health and Safety in Construction Works place the duty to inform and train workers exposed to a fall risk on the employer. Confirming by medical report that the worker is fit for work at height belongs to the same process, and is best settled while the training is planned.

What to look for when choosing a programme

The value of training shows in behaviour that repeats on site, not in what is said in the classroom. So look at whether the practical part is run with real equipment, at the instructor's field experience, at whether the group is small enough for everyone to practise, and at whether the content is adapted to your own workplace: real settings such as roofs, façades, poles, silos or lift shafts. Plan too for the fact that training is not closed off once taken; it needs refreshing as the team and the working methods change.

Tell us about the conditions on your site and we can decide together which programme should come first.
